Preethi Sekharan concentrates her practice on business and probate litigation, intellectual property disputes, and health care litigation with an emphasis on the representation of medical professionals, hospitals and health care organizations. She has represented both individuals and businesses in a variety of matters, including non-compete and restrictive covenant litigation, breach of contract and collection matters, and trade secret disputes.
Ms. Sekharan obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in biology, with minors in Chemistry and Physics from Judson College. She went on to obtain a Masters in Public Health from Tulane University. In 2001, Ms. Sekharan earned her Juris Doctor from New York Law School and was admitted to the New York and Florida Bars in 2002 and 2004, respectively.
While in law school, Ms. Sekharan served as a law clerk for the Honorable Edward H. Lehner of the Supreme Court of New York, as a legal intern with the United States Attorney's Office for the Eastern District of New York, and as a Teaching Assistant and Research Assistant to Professors Paul Dubinsky and Sadiq Reza, respectively. After graduation from law school, Ms. Sekharan joined Amster, Rothstein & Ebenstein, an intellectual property law firm in Manhattan, where she worked in the patent litigation division before moving to Florida and joining Page, Mrachek, Fitzgerald & Rose, P.A. as an associate in 2003.
